Hi there,

My wife is transferring to Newark after her company closed their Seattle office. So we're looking for something commutable (preferably by public transportation - rail) less than an hour away from EWR, and preferably something on the quiet side.
Hopefully an "easy" commute to EWR - preferable all hours access
Selection of diverse and good restaurants (bonus points for Spanish restaurant!)
Good running trails (safe, clean, ???)
I like brownstones, and architecture in general.
We will be selling our home in Seattle.
We're mid-40's, no kids.
About 150K/year income
Looking to buy a home

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Pedro

Thanks Gerania - I tried and am waiting an approval I guess.

we're also looking at Philadelphia and possibly commuting, so I posted here as well.

Yeesh. Don't live in Philly if one of you will be commuting to Newark. That would be a very poor decision.

Fyi...there are almost no Brownstones in Newark, Elizabeth or the surrounding area. Downtown Jersey City and Hoboken have the best 19th-century architecture in the region. However, there are great Iberian restaurants in Newark and Elizabeth.
