Default Mullica Hill?

Hi guys. Am trying to find out info on Mullica Hill. We are getting transferred to the Philly area from Maryland. I am originally from Medford and Marlton...so the housing costs and taxes don't shock me. Plus am coming from Md..where the housing prices are outrageous.

My hubby will work in Center city. I am looking for a house between 400-500k. I do like the suburbs and have three kids ages 9, 4 and 2. I am looking for great schools, quiet neighborhoods, low crime and conveniences. I don't want houses built on top of each other like here in MD. I also would like neighbors that are friendly and accepting.

I have posted on the Pa board...looking in Bucks and Chester counties too. Someone mentioned Mullica Hill ...and I found some houses that looked fairly nice..but know NOTHING about the area . Is it too close to deptford..I have heard deptford area isn't as safe as it used to be???

How is Clearview school? What kind of shopping and restaurants are close by? Is it close to any towns I need to be concerned about? Is it nice and safe? Friendly? HOw about the commute into center city.

If anyone thinks this area is el stinko..then what other areas would you suggest? I would like some area that is pretty..SJ is very flat I know...that is why we are also looking out in Pa.

Thanks in advance..I am driving myself crazy trying to find the perfect area..!! We lived in Pitt and had a wonderful experience...Wonderful neighbors and safe and beautiful area. We moved out to MD where it is gorgeous..but the people aren't so friendly..at least where we moved..they all keep to themselves ..plus we have houses in our backyard...am looking to get away from that..

Hey Ryan

thanks for getting back to me so quick! I don't know anything of those areas..I only know Burlington County and some of Camden county.

I feel positive that you said you couldn't speak more highly of it though...meaning Mullica Hill...moving is very nervewracking..you just want to do the best for your family...What are the positives in your opinion about this area?

Can you tell me some about the areas you are talking about.?
thanks so much!!

Yes, Mullica Hill is a rural area. New construction everywhere, they are starting to build more shopping. It is one of Southern NJ's upcoming communities and is starting to be more on the "high-end" side. Homes in the area range from 350-1million+. The taxes are fair considering the amount of home you get for your money.

All of the towns I had mentioned are all next to each other. Mullica Hill is more developed than the others. All are upcoming and new construction booming. Everyone wants to move to that area..

People are getting into East Greenwich/Mickleton/Woolwich before they hit the maximum growth phase knowing the home appreciation will sky rocket once they start building more and more shopping centers.

Area's mention are among the most upcoming desirable communities.

Let me know if you have any other questions..

Ryan

I have to go to Mullica Hill 3-4 times a year for conferences. I personally think it is cute. It must be at least 20 minutes from Deptford.

Hello. I am currently a student at Clearview High School. The school is decent, yet I would keep my eye out for drugs. More and more students are using drugs each year, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. The teachers are very good! I say it's a pretty good school

I am a New Jersey DEP licensed radon specialist.....the area your talking about....Mullica Hill....is a very nice rural area. However, it is a New Jersey DEP Tier One (high incidence) radon zone....as are the surrounding towns, Woolwich, Swedesboro and Mickleton. If you buy there, new or existing, definitely get a radon test as part of your purchase agreement.

Mullica Hill is nice but the commute to Philly each day could become tiresome. It is easier to commute to center city Philly from Camden or Burlington Counties.
