You guys are debating a research methodology, devised by a small NJ based research facility. Hardly GFK, Forrester, or Nielson, not that I would trust them to do any better.

A more productive list would be made by calling a representative sample of each town and simply asking each resident:

1.) Are you happy living here?
2.) Are you happy with the quality of education?
3.) Are you happy with your commute to work?
4.) Are you happy with the house you got for the price you paid?
5.) Are you happy with the town facilities,access to restaurants,shopping and cultural activities?

Rank towns by % of positive response.

I agree. Putting Lavallette on the list was pretty pointless.

Those towns are actually far more accessible to average people than Saddle River, Harding and Mendham. I highly doubt budget was factored into this ranking.
