My boys (age 9) love when we go to Wildwood - they love the rides, water park and boardwalk. We did Ocean City when they were younger, but I honestly didn't care for it too much. We stay in Wildwood Crest but are close enough to the boardwalk where we can walk.

I love Wildwood the best...their boardwalk has everything you could possibly want to do. I am 99% certain it's NJ's longest boardwalk. And the surf is very gentle on Wildwood's beach, perfect for families with children.

Our family loves Wildwood tremendously. Wildwood North is fine too.
I took them orgionally, kicking and screaming past the Seaside sign.......they did not want to leave their old habits behind.
Once onto the Boardwalks of Wildwood.......they were won over.
It is the largest boardwalk in NJ. The fun had there is one a child can not forget.
Now they have children, and they head there on their own.....as the place they love the best.
Bring a kite for kite flying......There is usually a grill for outside BBQ's
Very family......gorgeous beaches, clean......
I tended to stay North because of the less crowdedness there......lower floored, smaller condos. We usually took a condo, to have all that extra room.
Watch the Tram car please, Watccchhh, Whacccchhhh......oh yeah.

What are some of the nicer hotels in Wildwood/Wildwood Crest? I know some are lost in the 70's..are there any newer hotels with suites for families.
