Living in Union City, 7th street any New York ave. (Jersey City: buses, safe)

Just wanted to check if anyone has any opinions of the area. I would be looking to move into a place right off NY ave on 7th street.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Not the best part of Union City, to be completely honest. It borders Jersey City heights. Things look a bit more run down in Union City the further downtown you go. I would aim for a place north of 15th st if I were you. New York Ave has jitney buses that run at all hours so even if you don't drive, getting to places should be a breeze.

That said, it's probably not anymore unsafe than any other part of UC so if you must live there I'm sure you'll be ok.
