I do think they resemble one another- I personally don't think either are handsome but that is just me

This is driving me crazy-maybe it is one of those Urban myths. The thing is I really remember watching Celebrity Jeopardy and him mentioning it-unless it was part of a comic shtick that went way over my head Who knows- I will have to check with hubby as he was watching it-maybe he remembers.

DUDE! have you EVER been in an all Italian house in Bayonne? The backs of my legs are missing skin from all the times I've had to peel myself off the plastic during the summer!

In all fairness, I've seen plastic on the furniture in Polish houses too.

and I thought it was white lacquer, not black?

eta - don't tell me Frank Langella didn't have plastic or lacquer in his house, LOL

I had many Italian friends who always had plastic on their couches. My husband's mother is Italian and many pictures from his childhood in the 70's have the plastic on the couches. He told me all his Aunt's had it too. I have to say without trying to sterotype it was always people who I knew were Italian that had the plastic on their couches. This of course is just my own unscientific observation

I don't recall black lacquer bedroom sets.

Geez, I used to walk into Wexler's on Broadway in Bayonne as a kid and wished that I had the cash to buy one of those dripping lines for my parents!
