among our many cars was this classic, a 1969 Mercury Marauder:

 complete with 8 track!
This thing was a beast. We had a name for it, but I'd probably be banned if I posted it. "Batmobile" was part of the name though
Never had a station wagon, didn't need it, but we did have a 1976 Chevy Impala - another beast that probably got 10mph.
We also had a huge-a** Lincoln at some point and a taxi that my dad bought for $1 It seems we had a revolving door of cars until I turned about 10.
The worst car we ever had? Ironically, an early 70's Toyota Corolla. I remember driving with my mom (probably around 5-6 at the time, and in the front seat, natch) and she was afraid it wouldn't make it over the Bayonne Bridge (which wasn't a very big incline).

OK- growing up we always had old bombs for cars. I remember this HUGE white station wagon with blue plastic type seats. I remember watching my tiny petite 5ft4 mom driving this gigantic car. One time my parents got this used green Barracuda and it had a CB left in it from the previous owner-so I liked that- I thought I was in Convoy or something. I had two handles-rainbow and blondie! We also had a few beat up dodge darts. I remember a huge old pickup truck too and we kids always drove in the back-no cab. I remember going down Rt 37 and also over the bridge to Seaside in the back of that pickup truck with the wind blowing-wow That is probably illegal today.

Thanks-Well you know- I guess I was about 9 or 10 and I just thought I was sooooo coool There I was taking on the CB. The best was when we would pull up to traffic lights I would make sure the other cars saw me on the CB- I know total dork alert!
