We have a contractor at work who is originally from Brooklyn. He keeps on saying "yous guys" all the time. It's almost as annoying as Texans saying "y'all".

My mom was asking me what they were last month or so. It's rather difficult to explain, you're right!

EB2, I always took jughandles for granted until I had to explain them to someone from Kansas.

Gerania, I've never been to Cinnaminson. Sounds like a "local" bar.

I've been there when I lived in NJ (near Cherry Hill)! I like the Shuffleboard thing they have in the basement. Is it still there?

You must be from the deep south NJ. I rarely heard "y'all" in the 90+% of my life I spent in NJ, at least by any natives.

Here in TX, I hear it almost daily.

I'm actually from North Jersey. Morris County. It's not a part of my actual speech. I only say it when I'm really lazy and i don't feel like saying "you... all" and the entire phrase or whatever. so I just say y'all... usually as a joke too.

so as not to say people from Jersey don't say y'all. it's just not part of the natural speech up here in jersey.
