FH: no, no, no....you see that's the whole point of this post. My family makes the Sunday Gravy. The point is that MOST people outside of Jersey wouldn't get it. If you said sauce in my house, you'd get a lot of weird looks. That's the point, see.
As far as macaroni: That is a general term. I have not seen boxes of macaroni on shelves. Therefore...Pasta = Macaroni (In Jersey)
It's all good!

Shanny

Ok...are we talkin' jersey'isms here or Italian American Jersey'isms : )) Here's a classic jersey'ism... ever have your mom tell you to "go out and play in traffic"...or "go play on the double yellow line". If not, my mom must have been one mean lady..lol : )) What about catching fire flies and smooshing then around you wrist and fingers so you could have some nice jewelry to show your pals : )) Ahhh... those were great times : )) Now, forget it! It's Wii or Play Station. Can't help but wonder what the future for jerseyism's holds : ))

I think so shanny : )) What about whenever you would get hurt.. you'ld run in the house sreaming and crying because your arm is about to fall off..and all mom would do was to throw some of that red stuff on there, slap on a bandaid and send you back out in the street to play..lol : ))

Very true, wiley. My dad would say stuff like, "Well, she won't try that again, that'll teach her!"
Nice...no wonder I'm in therapy, LOL!

OMG you left out WILD WEST CITY.
And ASBURY PARK when it was a real amusement park.
Long live the STONE PONY.
