Is Atlantic City a boxing town? I'm curious. I know it's a casino town. Just wondering because ever since Arturo Gatti's death, I haven't heard much about boxing in Atlantic City.

You could definitely live there for cheap and get into plenty of fights.

Boxing, no. More like mixed martial arts, if you include guns and knives in that mix.

Well, actually there are several small MMA promotions that run events in AC. UFC has done a few, although the most recent show in AC was at...The Revel. They more frequently go to Newark when running a show in NJ nowadays.

What relevance does boxing have with it being cheap though?

If this is the case, maybe you should look at Philadelphia instead. There will be more options for you, plus it's much more vibrant. I mean, seriously, if you live in AC, you will have to travel outside of city limits just to go to the grocery store.

Well, Pathmark is in Pleasantville but I was visiting family Last Year, in NJ, and saw an IGA Supermarket in AC, itself. Atlantic Ave.

I had to look this up. According to this article, that IGA has been closed since 2006.
