So wait a minute.... is he a kook whose views look nothing like any other candidate, or is he "another Republican from Texas" (to which, I assume you mean he'd act like Bush, despite Ron Paul's stated positions) ?

I think he means all republicans from Texas are the same.
Even though Ron Paul voted AGAINST going to war in Iraq.
Even though he voted AGAINST the Patriot Act.
Even though he has continually been FOR bringing the troops home immediately.
OTHER than that, he is exactly the same as Bush.

Or maybe you are just an anti-Paul shill.

so what you're saying is that he's a RINO
...then why doesn't he just run as a Libertarian, or as an Independent ?

What would you consider "real" Republican values?

Paul's argument (of which I agree) is that historically, republicans have always supported very humble foreign policies. That Americans elect republicans to get us OUT of wars, not into them. A republican was elected to get us out of Korea. A republican was elected to get us out of Vietnam. That HE is still the real republican, it is THE PARTY that has lost it's way. That the other candidates are the RINOs.

Great ideas, but Paul is barely getting 2 percent of the vote. Unfortunately in this country if your not mainstream you have no chance.
