Any seafood recommendations? H2Ocean outside Morristown was good but I'm sure there are better.

Having only lived here since August, I'll say:

Bagels: Bagels-4-U in Springfield

Grocery store: Whole Foods in Union

Mexican: El Matador in Bloomfield

Frankly, usually when we want to have good food, we go into the city. Thanks for the long list though.

Hands down the best restaurant I've been to in all of NJ is Cafe Matisse in Rutherford. I lived in north jersey so I may be a bit biased but in my humble opinion, Cafe Matisse beats high end French places like Village Green/Latour in Ridgewood, Saddle River Inn, Cafe Panache (Ramsey) etc. by a good margin. Now if I can just get myself to the French Laundry in Napa some day, I'd be a very happy man. Thanks for the list OP.

I'd love to try Cafe Matisse myself but unfortunately there's nothing that my fiancé can eat (won't eat shellfish or red meat).

Mexican: El Matador in Bloomfield
Their stuff gets cold fast. if do take out 2 dishes pier person, the second dish will be cold and not tasty Dine in is a small area that gets crowded. This is real Mexican food, not text Mex. I think people should try real Mexican food just for experience.

Lemongrass, Morris Plains. I had a major Pho addiction, I see they changed their menu since i went into pho anonymous !

I go by location, so Cheif Wong 2 and Oriental Kitchen in Livingston.

i do regular weekly visits to Irvings, Livingston There is 2 Russian deli's in Livingston. - So I only buy drinking water and steaks at the supermarkets.

Minado on Rt 10 is worth mentioning. it's an all you can eat buffet with the quality of a good restaurant. I have met people that tried their deserts ! (there is never any room in my belly for that !)

Livingston's 7-11 across the street from kings is worth mentioning ! Sometimes you just need their hot-dog and no one better get in your way before you get it!

French place that come to mind, is in Millburn across the park Cafe Monet - 309 MILLBURN AVE, Millburn, New Jersey - 1 (973) 376-8555 - cafemonet@gmail.com I think it's called. it's awesome you can make fun of the waiters for pretending to be french while impressing your date. Before they serve you meat or fish, they read a eulogy about your meal(Which ocean this fish hung out or which hills in what country the cow grazed at...)

I usually go by area, so i am in Montclair area now and Fin Raw Bar & Kitchen is worth mentioning. I heard people complain that their online menue has not been updated and they are more expensive, but I forgot to care so i don't know.

Next door to Raw is Mish Mish

Momoya is what passes for a good sushi around here.

Natraj, they tend to give you more white rice then the lamb stew, so you don't want to eat any rice, you will have to get 2 orders.

Don't even bother!
I can tell you that those deserts are very dry, and they tend to be extremely gritty.
