I'm hoping someone can give me some info. My husband and I are looking for a house in Katonah, Bedford, Pound Ridge, Somers, North Salem, South Salem, etc.... I'm of the opinion we should take the best house we can get on our limited budget, wherever that may be. To our Brooklyn eyes these places are more similar than different. (With the exception of Yorktown Heights which we didn't really like). We want a little privacy and not less than an acre. Several friends have recently warned me to consider which towns we might fit into best as they are ALL SO DIFFERENT. Is this true? If so, can anyone describe for me the differences, or the type of people you might find in each town?? I would appreciate it, though I'm still not convinced it will matter so much. We are moving to Westchester to get away from our neighbors 😉 we want to be cordial but don't need our new townfolk to be our best friends. Thanks.
