Turnpike is a separate issue, it's managed by the Turnpike Authority rather than the NJDOT. I don't think they get gas tax money at all.
I believe Transportation Trust Fund money goes to Turnpike work, and Federal Money since it's also an interstate highway. My comment was really based on the "fine" commute.
You can also add, "Wah! I get raises but I don't want anyone else to get one or to pay anymore than I currently pay for anything"
And don't forget "all of those wealthy suburbanites (aka pretty much everybody west of the Parkway), most of whom make Wall Street money and then selfishly complain when politicians and their connected friends and union bosses decide what their fair share is going to be".
Any words to the effect that the increase will ONLY go to the road/bridge infrastructure and codified into law?
It seems like the only people raising that red flag are the people like us on web sites like CD.
I just don't trust them. At all.
The original plan was to have it dedicated by constitutional amendment but of course that plan was killed quick. Bill Spadea on 101.5 talked about this a lot.
I guess that's shorthand for "Wah! I hate the bill currently being considered per the normal legislative process by duly elected officials!".
thats funny. "duly elected officials" you say in some manner to try to make our corrupt politicians sound somewhat respectable.
