Not a problem at all. And Garys is a pretty good wine shop. Nice selection, decent prices. They also have a nice little deli section with some good cheeses and some good sandwiches.
If you want a GREAT wine shop in Bernardsville, though, you need to go check out 56 degrees, on Quimby lane. There are 29 people in the United States that hold the title "Master of Wine." Chris Cree is one of those 29. He's the owner of 56 degrees wine. Nice guy, loves to help you find the perfect bottle, even at the lower end of the price scale.

Doesn't make you crazy to hear the Delawarians (if that's how they call themselves) talk about their NEW-ARK -- not even New-urk.

I've heard Manalapan mispronounced manna-lappin instead of ma-NA-la-pin.

For those who say "Suh-caw-cus" - YOU ARE WRONG.
It's SEE-CAW-CUS. Ask anyone who lives there. Those who pronounce it the other way are not from the area, period. We have a location in SEE-CAW-CUS and I can't tell you how many people I work with (not from there) who say it wrong.
End of discussion.
oh, and it's CAR-KNEE too.

How about Piscataway? I think I remember John Gambling on WOR 710AM saying it like Pis-kuh-TAH-way. We Jersey folks know it is supposed to sound like Pis-CAT-away. I guess that could easily get butchered if you were from another state.

Yep, you can say it ; you just can't spell it: Le onardo. Like daVinci or diCaprio.

SEE-caw-cus,
see-caw- CUS, or
see- CAW-cus?
If you stress the first syllable, it's a definite SEE, but if you stress the second, the EE is become less distinct. Maybe more like si- CAW-cus.
See?
