Not to be too detail oriented, but...
It's Blue Ball PA.
Try as I might, I can find no other reference anywhere to a town in PA (or any of the other United States, for that matter) with the unfortunate name of Anus. Perhaps your oil company chum was pulling your leg?

This one is hard to pronounce. The only reason I know how to pronounce it is because I'm a Rutgers guy and there's a building on the NB campus called Frelinghuysen.
