Ran across this article that was news back in May and wanted to know if they still banned Uber or Lyft drivers from the airport and Penn Station?

http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article...newark-airport

This is disappointing, since I was relying on Uber/Lyft to get me and my family to our rental house 10 mins from the airport in Elizabeth. The process of the commute from Elizabeth to NYC is the most excruciating part of planning this trip for a family of 10 adults and 3 children. I'm also confused on which station would be best to get to NYC?

Were 5 minutes from the Elizabeth station, but the reviews for the station are horrible. I don't seem to see any reviews for the North Elizabeth station. I know Newark Penn station has path trains we can take directly to WTC but we were relying on Uber or Lyft to take us there so now I have no clue but to take a expensive cab. I also been told another option to getting to NYC from Elizabeth would be to go to the Staten Island Ferry since it's free. It just seems out the way compared to going through Penn Station? This is a bit overwhelming and bit of info would help.

The last I heard, Uber can drop you off at either of these locations but can't pick you up. If you're at the train station all you need to do is walk a block up the street and request a pickup from there. Obviously at the airport you don't have that option.

I believe Uber and the city reached an agreement in April. I got an Uber from EWR on Thursday - they picked me up from the passenger pickup area at the terminal I landed at (C), without a problem.

(Before April, the workaround some people used was taking AirTrain to Terminal A, as that's technically in Elizabeth.)
