I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. Both girls. We are looking to move from Jersey City to Middletown. Found some great homes in Port Monmouth, more house for the $$. I need to know what we're in store for as far as community goes. Port Monmouth Zillow has Port Monmouth Elementary school as a "3". Not sure why this is...
We have looked at some places in Union Beach, schools are better (based on Zillow #'s), but most feedback is folks would rather live in Port Monmouth than Union Beach due to a "stigma".
Can someone shed some light on this subject? Please help me understand-
We are not a pretentious family and don't require a "fancy" neighborhood. We come from a hard working, solid work ethic background, and value education.
We love the beach-town vibe of Port Monmouth, but also want our kids to be safe and have a good time in the school environment, learning and playing.
