Talking Move to North Arlington

Hello,

I and my spouse are planning to move to 2BR apartment in North Arlington. Both of us work in NYC so i think travelling is fine.

However, we are concerned with the area, as we have Kearny and Newark nearby. So ?I would like you guys to let us know if such a move is good or we should stay away from N Arlington...Also it would be great if someone can point out the good and the bad abt N Arlington

Thanks.

It's bordered by Lyndhurst and Belleville also; not all that close to Newark. Is the move good? It may be for you! have you checked out the town? I don't think it's a bad place to rent, but I would prefer Rutherford.

Borough of North Arlington, New Jersey

I have lived in North Arlington my whole life. Overall it is a good town to grow up in. Some pros and cons:
There are 3 Dunkin Donuts, countless pizza, bagels and drug stores.

Do not be concerned over Kearny or Newark. They are nearby but just far enough away to not be a problem. You do have the occasional stolen car found in Newark.

One thing not to forget, the Holy Cross Cemetery is a large portion of this town. There is more dead then living. For any zombie attacks, we would be the first to go.

For commuting, my fiance hops on the 190 NJ transit bus into NYC from Orient Way in Rutherford and on quiet days, it will take you only 20-30 minutes.

You could also check out East Rutherford or Rutherford as well. Both equally as nice towns.

yeah, North Arlington is a small town. so the cemetery takes up a good portion of it. one of my good friends is from North Arlington. it's a nice small little town, its at the southernmost end of Bergen County. it's a good community. Kearny isn't a bad town at all imo, so don't worry about being next to Kearny, or Newark.

Haha, I was hoping someone would mention this. I think I read in a paper a while back that the dead outnumber the living in North Arlington 10:1. Maybe not that exact ratio, but you get the idea.

If your not white, don't go into or move to North Arlington. The cops there are so racist, it not even funny.

North Arlington is a fine town, way better than Belleville in my opinion. Belleville used to be nice, but it has gone down hill fast. Sadly, I'm afraid we may loose Bloomfield next. North Arlington, Lyndhurst, and Nutley are hanging on though, IMO.

That's not true. I have a friend that lives near Watchung Ave. and that part of town is very nice. Are you saying that the area around Brookdale Park isn't nice enough for you? I will agree that the southern part has blended in with East Orange and the hs sucks, but the northern part is still really nice and there are lots of wonderful families there. The northern part is equal, if not better, than Nutley.
