I am trying to get this online but can't find the answer. I called the school numerous times no one is answering. I need to know the earliest time I can bring my son to school for breakfast because I work in the city so I need to drop him off early and head to work. Trying to plan this out before school starts.

I would call the school your son is in.

Summers the offices tend to be lower staffed, with shorter hours, then the school year. I would suggest a Email to the Principal of the school would probably get returned fairly quickly.

Normally Breakfast open 30-45 minutes before the start of the "School Day". Since the school day start times vary by school, Best bet is to ask the school.

Also try food and nutrition office @ 908-851-6429 (But again they are staffed lower for the summers).

Unreal. It's the schools responsibility (and the taxpayers') to feed your son in the morning?

I work so I need to know the earliest he can be in school so I can get to work on time. If not I will have to start a little later. And by the way you pay for breakfast and lunch its not free. On top of the high taxes NJ has which is "unreal" it should be included in the property taxes being paid. Don't you think???

I had no idea that there were schools that provided breakfast for kids.

Not really. Traditionally, people have been responsible for their kid's breakfast and for making arrangements to get them to school. I worked, also, commuting to the city every day, but the school didn't provide breakfast or allow children to be dropped off before a certain time. It never even occurred to me to expect a school to provide breakfast and daycare.

But if they offer it, hey.

You might also check into Before and After Care programs at each elementary school - it was run by the YMCA

i never heard of schools providing breakfast, although i do know beforecare program DO feed kids breakfast but that would be included in the cost of before-care program parents pay for. If it is the school itself providing breakfast, i wouldn't like it and just because your taxes is unreal high it doesn't mean breakfast should be included at free cost! my taxes is unreal high, but i never had the expectation of my district school to feed my son before it even starts first lesson!
