Hi All,

I am new to this Forum.
I am relocating to NJ from India and my office is in Thornall Street, Edison, NJ.
Can any one help me to know the rough expenses and what would be the good location to stay.
Like Rent (if i am sharing), food, Cable, Internet, Mobile, Utility, Travel etc.

Would really appreciate if anyone can help me out.

Thanks
ARK

All your costs are variable depending on what you like and how much you are going to spend on them. I am not sure what you are looking for but rent can be anywhere from $800 (sharing in a house) to $2000+ for multiple bedroom condos or small homes.

As for the other items, it also varies but here is a very good general idea:

- Food all depends on where you eat. Fast food should be under $10 each instance and restaurants like Applebees/Fridays/Outback and such can be $20 - $30 each person for a nice meal. The of course is a higher caliber of restaurants but the sky is the limit for those.

- Cable, depending on your packages and number of sets, you are looking at $50 - $100/month

- Internet for highspeed is about $50/month

- Utilities (too hard to determine due to the unknown size of your place)

- Travel is variable as well. Gas is about $3.15 or so a gallon in the area for regular

Hope this gives you a general idea.
