Alot of people are going to fight you on this. However Parsippany has been on the decline the last decade, especially around rt. 46. It's become a dumping ground of third world migrants on H1B1 Visas. They are stacked up in apartments/houses work here for a year or two then leave, adding nothing to the community and bring back money to their own home country and communities.
Interesting about Winfield Park. I see the sign for it on the Parkway and always wondered what it was. Never knew anyone from there or who had been there.

Do you recall the story about Gertrude Stein, and one of her guests at her home in San Francisco?
The guest gazed across the water at Oakland, and asked Gertrude, "What's over there?".
Gertrude's reply was, "There's no...there...there".
First, I definitely don't agree with Phillipsburg being on that list. P-burg is actually a nice little city. Blue collar White people and a few Hispanics does not a bad town make. Asbury Park as well has really turned itself around.
That said, I'd put Linden, Kearny, North Arlington, South Plainfield, Carteret, Browns Mills, Paulsboro, and Pleasantville on that list as pretty miserable areas.

Very strange place, especially for Northeast Jersey.

Actually i have friends who live there (Winfield Park) and to me it's not a bad place. Suburban, free parking, local cops, and as far as i know you can't buy or sell a house there but someone there has to will you a house as they are passing away or similar. Decent location too and not urban at all.
