Has anyone done any of these escape rooms (i.e. Escape Room NJ, Amazing Escape Room, Last Minute Escape, etc.)? I'm getting a group of friends together to go to one, but there are so many option in NJ and NYC. Any experience at any would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've only done this one.

Book Your Tickets Now | Escape The Room NYC

(it was the apartment, but now it's the rec room).

LOADS of fun. We were 4 adults and 3 teens and the teens did WAY better than the adults.

I want to go to the one in Montclair and/or Wayne, since they are closest.

I've done this one in Princeton:https://amazingescaperoom.com/princeton-nj/

We had an absolute blast and are looking to do other escape rooms. The one we did was the Time Travel room. From what I've seen the ones in NYC have a lot of Zombie rooms. If you are into that there are a few in NJ doing it as well. There will likely be more soon since we are getting closer to Zombie season.

I have done three

ASDF escape (New Brunswick near the Rutgers campus) - Very underwhelming. Clues were terrible, instructions unclear and not very well thought out.

X Room (Grand St in NYC) - complete waste of time. Half of the items in the place did not work which led to us running out of time. Then the instructor walks us through the escape process and points out all the 'broken' items. Couldn't believe he had the balls to say that 'if this item worked you could've escaped'

Adventure rooms (Montclair, NJ) - best one of the 3. Very well planned, clues were tricky but not impossible

Outin60 in Hoboken the best one in NJ. Tried most of them. There is a good place in Toronto- Canada and LA. But i recommend Outin60 in the East Coast. These are my top 3. Very high tech and original.
