he will not win either, he's way too socialist for majority of the population including democrats. Outside of his core group of supporters there is nothing. All the middle will still goto trump.
Exactly!
Yes, there are a lot of delusional people who think that Bernie would have been victorious if the party had run him as the candidate instead of Hillary, but then it is important to ask this question:
If the right-wing was able to convince low-information voters that Obama is a "secret Muslim" who was born in Kenya, and that he is Socialist--which, of course, is all bogus--what would they have been able to do with Bernie's own description of himself as a Socialist?
If you don't know the answer to that question, here it is:
They would have convinced most voters that Bernie is actually a Communist, and he would have garnered fewer votes in the general election than Hillary did. The GOP was almost completely silent about Bernie during the primary election phase, simply because they would have preferred to have him as the easily-beaten Democratic nominee, instead of Hillary.
A Jewish, self-described Socialist would NOT be able to win a general election for POTUS in a nation that contains many anti-Semites and a huge number of low-information voters who would be unable to distinguish between a Democratic Socialist and a Communist.

someone like elizabeth warren will have a much better chance of beating trump than bernie. (not saying i support her). Hilary made a mistake of putting another middle aged white guy as VP (that pretty much the whole country couldnt give 2 shts about). She should put elizabeth warren as the vp to get the bernie's base fired up.
i agree that elizabeth warren would also be likely to win. i believe that most democrats are supportive of "socialism" and would propel bernie to victory. there is the possibility that the other side could scare them with "communism" but I am not so confident that it would stop him.

You are right, of course. I liked him, but he never had any chance of winning.
Elizabeth Warren is like a back-up QB at this point -- completely untested but has big support for their potential. In many ways, this was the way much of the country viewed Chris Christie 4 years ago.

some things you just cant predict prior to the election. initially, i thought that being bill clinton's wife would propel hillary to an easy victory. it did in her senate elections. it has been my feeling that bill clinton is perceived by democrats similarly to how republicans view reagan. but amazingly bill clinton wasnt much of a positive in this election.
id think bernie would be an easy winner because i do believe "socialism" appeals to a huge chunk of the population but one thing that makes me question that is the fact that obama couldnt pass single payer health care and had to opt for "obamacare" instead.
DWS left because that was the plan all along. But there's no doubt the Democratic primaries were fixed; check Wikileaks.
You mean the Russian hackers right?
