I am looking for a town in NJ that is pretty, safe, with a nice/bustling town center (as close to a city as you can get in a NJ suburb). Lots of cultural events is a plus as well.

I am also looking for a town that is not as child-oriented as many of the NJ suburbs. Where a childless couple or even a single might feel comfortable.

Would Montclair fit the bill?

Any other suggestions?
