Hello, I'm interested in a property in Cliffwood Beach, NJ. Any feedback on this town (crime rates, school system, etc.) for a family with young kids would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I lived there a LOT of years ago (back in the'80's). Back then I would have considered it only fair. But that was only the end of it we were in. There were better areas nearby.
so that is Middlesex county.. if you go over the bridge by the waterfront that is the Monmouth county side.. if you are by the water you most likely will need flood insurance. Not sure how old your kids are but the school system is huge... there are a lot of changes going on around the area.. I'm from the Monmouth county side of CB and a lot of changes have happened in the last few years. a lot of homes are in foreclosure as the taxes are crazy and a lot of riff raff moving in.. There are zoning issues going on in Aberdeen as well with the Hasidic Jewish community.
I moved inland in Aberdeen near the High school many years ago but I don't hear many problems with the Middlesex county side.. I do hear in the summer the waterfront gets very busy with out of towners and really do not clean up after themselves. the waterfront in CB is suppose to be getting a makeover with a water park.. not sure how well that is going to go over since the waterfront is always flooded during extremely high tides and storms...
The village of Cliffwood Beach, is in Aberdeen Township and Monmouth County. If you don't believe me Google map both of those, and you'll see that Cliffwood fall in both.
I don't know the exact location of Bobbie's property, but it might by just north, over the line in Laurence Harbor, Which is in Old Bridge Twp and Middlesex County. But if the property is actually in Cliffwood, It's in Aberdeen and Monmouth.
