I cannot believe how passive people are, and they don't get sick and dog dead tired of being raped financially. They want to impose a 23 cent hike on gasoline, for road repair. Do you realize how many times I've seen those dirty dogs do this in PA? And our roads are still bad...they do this every election...and yet, the money is never allocated the way they promise.

Why do we keep allowing this to happen?

IT'S SO LAUGHABLE how people think nj is a great state to live in (yeah the job market is good!)

maybe if u lived in hick arkansas before

go visit DC/Seattle/Dallas to see upcoming cities and recession proof job markets, state of the art public transport at a fraction of the taxes we pay here in NJ NY.

Old cities in Florida have better highway systems. We can't even keep the lights on on 90% of our highways, it makes no sense. Corruption is part and parcel of NJ

Raising the gas tax was a signal that NJ residents and voters are nothing but a source of cash for pols and their cronies.

What really hurts is the lie that the sales tax reduction will mitigate the gas tax increase.

What really hurt are those commercials by the engineer union telling us bridges are about to collapse. The same bridges that are inspected annually, suddenly decided to begin teetering.

I tell you that when Pelosi said 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it' and she kept her job, the hunting season was opened on taxpayers. the toothless masses serving the political elite is now out of the closet and in your face.

Vote down every proposal from Trenton, keep a list of legislators who voted yes or abstained, which is a yes vote, and do not vote to renew their free ride on the taxpayers back.

Why doesn't one of these concerned legislators propose to change the NJ constitution to allow dedicated funds. Why do we have to suggest it?

How to fire bureaucrats that underestimate costs and delivery dates of infrastructure projects?

Shoddy designs and poor workmanship characterize infrastucture projects. Who is profiting from the cheap materials that allow bridge facades to keep falling off. got pictures.

So the picture of the dead woodchuck with a yellow line painted across his corpse by the guys who painted the yellow lines on rt 22 in whitehouse speak volumes for the, 'who gives a darn' attitude of the NJDOT.

The north branch of the raritan river is labeled "Raritan River' on rt 202. So fishermen can fish the north branch legally on stocking days. Sure, a seemingly mnior labeling snafu, that reflects the lackadasical attitude of those who dabble in taxpayer funds whose bottom has yet to be plumbed.

The spoiled children with a hole in their pocket tell their parents another lie to beg more cash to lose. Now that kid shows up and doesn;t even bother giving a story as to where the cash went, just holds out his hand and demands more cash or something bad will happen.

I'm surprised nobody is more outraged about the estate tax cut. The wealthy is getting a tax cut while the rest of us is paying for it at the pump.

Thanks for adding your own LAUGHABLE post.

state of the art public transport? DC metro WAS that 30 years ago, but is crumbling and decrepit and unreliable now.

And you weren't really serious about recession proof job markets, right?

I've seen this happen in PA many times...they tell people it's going to be allocated towards road and bridge repair and it never is, and they ALWAYS do it this time of year, right before the changing of the guards, then the new politicians are brought in and it's allocated somewhere else.
23 cents a gallon...and let me tell you, I worked Construction way back 20 years ago and had a PA state Inspector tell me then how bad our infostructure is.

Tell you what I think, they're paying off the companies that do the inspections, b/c there are literally holes in some bridges over here....

and people just keep paying and paying, and say nothing?

I find it laughable when most people who pro tax as long as it is not taxing them, then tax becomes a problem when it is directly affect them.

My position is either flat tax or a sales tax.

On flat tax, you pay your own shares. For example 10%. If you made $1, you pay 10 cents. If you make $100, you pay $10. If you made $10 billions, you pay $1 billion. Yes, you need to have skin in the system.

Or a sales tax, say 10%. Then you pay only if you spend. If you spend $1 a day, you pay 10 cents in sales tax. If you spend $1000, you pay $100 in sales tax. You tax on your consumption. So if you don't spend, you can save your money.
