Moorestown or Hillsborough, NJ
Looking to make a move and heard good things about both areas. Priorities include excellent schools, friendly and safe area, decent size property(would like approx an acre but I know that's hard to find), good park system or convenient to kid activities. Will take other suggestions for areas. Thanks!

Wouldn't mind buying property and building our own home-would spend up to 450K or depending on the house, of course, approx 750K.

Commuting is not a concern at this point. Currently commuting to the NY area, but considering a job change, selling the business or only going in a couple days a week.

You cannot beat Moorestown, Hillsborough is decent, but it is not Moorestown. If you want the best public schools, quaint tree-lined street in a nice safe neighborhood with character and access to Philly and north jersey, Moorestown is the place. But $450K will get you a small cape/house/rancher on the west side of town and something along the lines of a small fixer upper in town center without a garage. You'll get more house and land for your money in Hillsborough.
You aren't going to be able to buy a lot to build on in Moorestown. The only lot I know of is a little over an acre on a busy road with asking price $600K. Good luck. If you require more info just let me know.

My previous post was for $450K for a lot only-what type of house can you get in Moorestown in the 750K range? Anything decent? Thanks

90% of Moorestown is vastly overpriced for what it is IMO.
We looked out there. Those ranchers in Lenola are garbage.

Personally I wouldn't consider 'access to Philly' that great a thing, you still have alot of the Philly/south Jersey 'spillover' around Moorestown
Hillsborough seems to be centrally located between New York(and Philly if you're interested)and is in a safer area.
