That info on ML Crossings is old. One bedroom efficiency is $1,070, one bedrooms range from $1,195 to $1,225. ML Crossing is just as expensive if not more for what you could get in recently built complexes with clubhouses and pools in places like Woodbridge and Edison:

For example, Barron's Gate in Woodbridge commutable to NYC, has 2 bed/2 full baths for $1,500. ML Crossings has 2 bed/2 full bath for $1,555.

$900/month is cake for someone making 60k/yr. You will be able to live comfortably on that. I am the same age as you and make only $55k and I already bought my own place....so you will be fine.

Other apartments recommended in the area
Ramblewood Mews - Mt Laurel
Pickwick Apts - Maple Shade/Cherry Hill
Allison apts - Marlton

Hey JB, see my response above. ML Crossing is more expensive than $900/month but he can still afford it.

yea ML Crossings are probably the nicest apts in the area by far thats why they cost more. The apts I recommended above are still nice but more reasonable rents $850-950 range.

It was $950/month 10 years ago when I lived there so I knew something was wrong.

Oh dude, make the move! I've been to Toledo....no comparison. You'll be right outside Philly, so you're near a major city (that is not Detroit), not far from the beach...South Jersey is a great area, and $60K is a way decent salary, especially for someone your age. You might have to get used to the East-Coast people (probably more aggressive than you're used to), but don't get discouraged....it's only the gruff exterior. Good luck!

I used to live here......these were really nice and only $678 a month with a washer and dryer. Allison Apts. It is Marlton, but it is not that far from Moorestown at all...Just down Church Road/Maple Avenue.

Allison Apartments-31 North Maple Avenue Suite 521 Marlton, NJ 08053 856-983-0155 - Apartment Search Results

and you could always look in Maple Shade...at Fox Ghetto....I mean Fox Meadow.

$900/month rent is cheap in NJ. And given the current job market an offer of 60K is not so bad. Alot of people with that income have to pay more then that in rent unfortunately.

I'd still like to take this position... but it looks to me like the cost of living is outrageous! If you don't mind me asking, what would be considered a reasonable salary to live in this area?
