Help! My haircut is lousy!
Anybody between Southern NJ and Philly know a really good hairdresser? Someone who really knows how to cut hair, do nice layers, in a modern style? It could be your hairdresser, your friend's, or someone who has a good reputation in your area.
I just had a haircut this afternoon that is one of the strangest yet. Thank goodness my hair is shoulder length, so I can camoflage the mistakes. I have lived in this S. Jersey shore area for many years and have yet to find someone who can do a great haircut. If you know of someone, please tell me.
My hair is straight and thick - it's not like I have bizarre hair that is hard to work with. I don't get what the problem is.
At this point I'll drive two hours if it means I will return home looking decent. (Do I sound desperate? I guess I am.) Maybe I should just give up, grow it out and wear it in a pony tail...

FLO-BE? Ya' got me on that one exhdo1!
Oh, and I went to a lady today, told her my predicament, showed her my awful haircut, then showed her lots of pictures of what I'd like my hair to look like - and she actually did a pretty good job fixing yesterday's disastrous haircut. I was so grateful , I gave her a 40% tip!
EXHDO1 - you wacky kid! I Googled and found this:

You're a hoot!

Up until I moved I used Ling at Beauty and the East in Robbinsville, NJ. She is excellent with both cut and color. They are just off of Rt. 130.

Since I originally posted this I have found a great salon. It's in Philly, takes 1-1/2 hours to get there, but I don't care. I end up with a great haircut! And as we know ladies - that is ALL that counts! I'd go through hell & high water if it means I walk out of the salon with an excellent haircut.

Why don't you learn to cut your own hair?
My last haircut by a pro was around June 17, 1970. I'll admit that my first do-it-yourself haircut looked like my head was in contact with a weed whacker but things slowly improved! Depending on your skill level, there is a chance you won't be able to go on dates for a while and might need to wear a baseball cap but what the heck..they cost NOTHING! I must have saved $18,000 on haircuts including interest compounded.

An hour and a half is a long drive, but how often do you get your hair cut? I only get mine cut 2 -3 times a year, so an hour and a half drive isn't really that bad.

Hi,
I am very, very picky with my hair and it has taken me years to find someone I like and trust. She is located on Rte 47 in Franklinville. If you'd like more info please let me know.
