I am also 26 years old and not married, so I know what you mean about the married families/urban thing. Marlton, Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel, are great options and would even suggest Maple Shade... which is close to access every major highway in South Jersey just about. Collingswood is fun.. have a few friends that live there and also even audobon isn't too bad, they have a smaller downtown. Unless you move to Philly which is just a hop and skip right over the bridge to good ol' Camden, but I wouldn't suggest moving there!!! I work for CDW which is based out fo Chicago. Which is pretty much the same here. Hopefully, you are getting a great job offer to relocate.

I've basically been checking the estimate and ruling out anything over 25min
My search criteria as mainly been that it is within 25mi of camden, has washer and dryer in unit, is greater than 700sqft. I've also looked up each one on apartmentratings.com and cut out any that have extremely low ratings. And I've been mainly looking at ones in the cherry hill "vicinity". There were a few that were south in the deptford, runnemede area, but those are along 42.
Why is a moorestown address prestigious vs any other town?
I found a few more apartments that I will try to look at, maybe this link will help. I've marked out each apartment, maybe you can give me a quick opinion on what you think of each one and the area. Basically I added some over in Marlton but that may be too far especially if 70 is bad and I have to take an alternate route.
Google Map of Apartments
I am not considering a house at this time. I'd like to live there at least a year or two so I know the area better and know the company and job better before I make a large financial commitment.

Moorestown is prestigious because it was rated the #1 town in the country by Money Magazine back in 05. It also is the richest town in South Jersey with some ridiculous mansions. A lot of Philadelphia Pro Athletes live there.
I find google maps to over-estimate the amount of time it takes to get somewhere. I find mapquest.com to be much more accurate.
I looked at your map of apartments. I don't recommend Palmyra - not the greatest area. I heard Ryan's Run in Maple Shade is supposed to be pretty decent and its convenient to lots of things. I know Allison Apts in Marlton are highly rated. Even though Route 70 is bad during rush hour - I still think you should be able to make it to Camden from Marlton within 25min.

Well, I'm back from my visit to the area. Got a chance to look at Ryan's Run (Maple Shade), Brook View (Marlton), Bishops View (Cherry Hill), Burrough's Mill (Cherry Hill), and Mount Laurell Crossing.
I had wanted to see Highlands and Moorestowne woods, but ran out of time.
Brookview, Bishops View, and Burrough's mill were all gated communities that looked nice but were very expensive, lots of extra fees. These were very much like townhouses. Brookview and Burrough's mill are pretty much the same as they are run by the same company.
Ryan's Run was in a good location and the apartment looked pretty old but the price was pretty low and all utilities are included. I tend to like newer buildings than older ones, but I would think that most people do.
Mount Laurel Crossing looked pretty much the same as
brookview since they are also run by the same company. The price was the lowest of the upscale apartments.
I spent alot of time driving in circles as I wasnt use to not being able to turn left or make U turns from the left.
Anyways, I'll be back in the area next week so I'll probably try to take a look at highlands and any other apartments I can find that meet my needs.

yeah, S. Jersey's not a bad location if you crave the urban vibe. its close to Philly, Atlantic City & other shore points. and its only an hour and a half away from NYC (w/ no traffic of course ).

HA. I think that one went over everyones head.

Haha yeah you have to get used to navigating jughandles around here. It actually works better than all the left turn signals once you get used to it.
So which area did you like the best so far? Did you do any trial runs to Camden yet?

I can see how the jughandles might be better, but when I dont know when there will be a jughandle and when there will be a left-turn lane, that can be a problem in 3 lanes of traffic.
As for the different areas, they all seemed in about the same area.
When I got to the area (from the west), I drove to camden, then stright to Brook View along 70. It took me about 20-25min so it was pretty close to the google estimate.
I drove from Mount Laurel Crossing back to camden and it took me about 25-30min. So I guess the google estimates are fairly accurate for me with traffic.
Each area seemed fine to me, I didnt have alot of time to look area where each apartment was as I was concentrating more on finding the places.
Bishops View is closest to camden, but it is right next to a park. It is also a gated community.
Ryan's run is right at the intersection of 38 and 73 so while it is convenient, I dont know about hearing cars go by all day.
Brook View and Mount Laurel seemed to be in the nicest areas, but they are also the furthest.
Burrough's Mill was very close to the mall and seemed to be located next to a buisness office park. However that area is gated too.
Ryan's run was the cheapest of the five places I looked out, however it was also about 35 years old. I tend to like newer buildings. The other four were newer, 5-8 years old, but they were also much more expensive. They included a clubhouse and other ammenities which I do not care about or care to pay for.
It would be nice to find a place inbetween the two if it exists. When I go back down next week, I'll look at Highlands and Moorestowne Woods. Highlands looks promising. It is also the highest rated one out of all my choices on apartmentratings.com
If anyone has any suggests for any other places to look at, I'll def take a look. I think my requirement for an apartment with a washer/dryer limits my choices a great deal.

You need to look for the little white "all turns" sign
Palmyra isn't bad that Korman Suites is a pretty nice place.

If the high speed line is the "train" they are talking about. That runs directly through collingswood with a stop there as well. Oaklyn is right next to collingwood with many split houses to rent with wash/dryer as well as many bars within walking distance. Plus your still very close to quite a few parks. The speedline goes from Philly, PA - towards and stops at camden, collingswood, many more - down to lindenwold. Then from there there is a train thats known as the "gambelers express" that goes from there down towards atco, all the way down to atlantic city. They are pretty cheap and cheaper if you get monthly passes for the speedline to travel to work daily like many many people do.
