I stand behind my point.
I apologize to everyone--didn't mean to have thread hijacked this way.

Ok well then back to the topic.... Bottom line is that the list is not even close to correct.

I completely agree with their #2 - Upper Township.

When people ask me what town is the best in this general area to live, I always tell them Upper Township. Great schools, decent neighborhoods, nice people, relatively reasonable taxes, minutes to the beach, an hour to Philadelphia. We have lots of friends who live there and all are very glad they chose that area to live.
No complaints from anyone.

Now there is a huge shopping center being built that will have a ShopRite, Target, Applebees - that's a big deal here! We're excited!

Considering that I have no experience living in newark OR redbank, who knows?

Many people will look at that list and assume it's ok. Which is ok by me so long as Cranford is near the top since it may help keep Cranford desirable. We're looking to rent out the house once we leave

You'd be surprised. I thought it was ok. Most will never take the time to scroll past #100, and most aren't as "focused" as the people here who spend time discussing towns in a forum.

Sorry Newark is not a more desirable place to live than Red Bank... as soon as one reads that the discussion is over.

1. As I said, I doubt most people read past the first page (top 100)

2. Most people don't know red bank at all...I certainly don't, so the comparison ain't there to critique for those people

Well I know them both.. and Red Bank is 100 times better. Sorry anybody who knows both towns would have to be insane to think Newark is better... BTW I read past top 100 and it gets more laughable as you go down the list

Montgomery number 440?

Hmmmm heres a good one... Paterson better than GREEN BROOK! They couldnt have...

Haha Camden ahead of Lebanon... HAHAHHAHA!

They're plenty more I could have put up here but just these few show you what a joke the list is.

and if cranford happened to be number #323, you'd be shouting from the rooftops that this list is a bunch of sh**. while your ONE TOWN may be listed somewhat accurately, doesn't mean the list, as a whole, is anywhere NEAR accurate. you have blinders on. cranford didn't make money magazine's list, and towns listed in the 400's of your "NJ Monthly" were ranked higher - what are you thoughts on that?
