Default Moving to NJ from FL, Warren/Hunterdon

I am moving from Fl to NJ. I cant stand Florida... terrible schools, healthcare, high crime, and uneducated population.

I am looking into Warren and Hunterdon Counties, so I can work and commute to NYC by train. Looking for a nice suburban town with good schools, quality of life, some open space and low crime. Any suggestions?

In general, all of Warren and Hunterdon counties are beautiful, with low crime and great schools. Seriously. If money were no object, I would definitely live there.

Warren and Hunterdon Co. both have beautiful open areas but both are developing fast, Warren is more rural.
Lebanon Twp. is nice, Whitehouse/Whitehouse Station are nice(small airport in area in dispute about expansion). If you are looking for high end living you can't beat Tewksbury Twp.
NJ transit serves those areas. The Morristown line goes as far as Hackettstown in Warren Co. and the Raritan Valley line goes as far as High Bridge in Hunterdon Co. Either of those trips will exceed one hour. If you want to drive to NYC from those areas you are talking 1.5-2 hrs. crawling along either I 78 or I 80.

Good Luck
RD

Cool Hunterdon & Warren

Hi, i'm originally from Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, then moved to Paterson NJ, then to Lebanon Township in Hunterdon County. I thought Hunterdon would be a pleasant change from living in a ghetto city, but I actually can't stand it. Everything is sooooo far apart and has absolutely no diversity or culture. It is a mix between millionaires and farmers, and is actually an hour and a half away from NYC or any other place of the slightest significance. The same goes for Warren County too. If you're coming from an inner city Florida area, Hunterdon & Warren might be hard to adjust to. But no matter where you're from, you can always appreciate Bergen County. Low crime, populous area, and close to NYC. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah I'm doubting you're going to be able to commute into NYC from Warren/Hunterdon. Be prepared for a 2 hour, door-to-door, commute.
