as an aside, i always loved JC cops! every one I've met were very cool. When I got into a car accident on 440 at the Hudson Mall 5 days after I got my license (wasn't my fault) , the cops were SO nice - one of them gave me an italian ice. who knows, it could've been you! LOL
If I recall that was a lemon italian ice. Only the pretty girls with the sexy Jersey accents get them.

Well, when we were teens a JC squad car followed us out of Roosevelt Stadium and pulled us over on 440 and took all of our beer.
Who knows, it could have been JM.
Well I forgot to say thank you for the beer fischfan. They were nice and cold and we did enjoy them. We only took the beer from the Bayonne kids. We let our own JC kids stay and enjoy themselves. Speaking of Roosevelt Stadium, we saw many, many concerts there. What a dump but when we were young we saw just about every large rock and roll band of the time. Now it's Hovnanian on the water. Society Hill.

My opinion about that site is that if people actually knew what was underneath the ground they would have never bought homes there.

I remember seeing minor league baseball there, as well as Roller Derby. Most of us from that area took our "road" driving tests, too.
When we finally realized that we could drink indoors, and "borrow" licenses from each other, we would go to O'Hara's (I believe that was the name of the bar), on Westside Ave.

Never did do the South Beach thing.
Willowbrook, on the other hand...LOTS of memories.
The best parking spots were in between the trees.
