What is the most efficient (convenience, minimal time, not excessive cost) way to get from the Bronx (Botanical Garden area) to Newark Airport?
How much is a straight up taxi or uber/lyft?

I've taken UberX from NJ to LGA and the cost was $75 using UberX. Bronx to EWR might be similar.

Cheapest option is probably take the cab or subway to Port Authority or Grand Central and take the airport shuttle buses. These cost $16 each way or $28 round trip. https://www.panynj.gov/airports/ewr-...portation.html

A $20 direct bus from Port Authority or the $15 train from Penn Station. Don't do the blue shuttles, those never pickup in upper Manhattan. Taxi would easily run you into the $100 range.

I used to live in Washington Heights, and a car (6s or 7s) was probably about $70 to Newark Airport. It was a bit more than other airports because of return toll and turnpike tolls, etc. So maybe another $20 from where you are?

If you do have a car, you can park near there in a convenient lot with shuttle service to the airport for about $12 a day - that's what I do now that I live in South Orange, we did have a car the last few years we were in Manhattan, but we didn't fly out of Newark very often, so it may not have come up in the time that we had the car.

Depends also on type of trip, sometimes biz trips stretch out so i leave car parked locally and grab a cab instead. Otherwise if a biz trip takes a while, cheaper in long run.

I just remembered no one mentioned the train. You get off the main NE corridor railroad at Newark Airport
