Contact the public works department in your town/municipality and ask. Are they responsible for trimming trees and what is the schedule? Or are you responsible and who do they recommend? Be sure to get the name of the person who gives you the answer!

The local newspaper or Craig's List often has a services rendered section. I've found good results with utilizing either of those options.

I hate trees near my house while they have their purpose but it can be costly or disaster waiting to happen with storms.

I misread. For some reason I thought the tree was on the other side of the sidewalk but hanging over the sidewalk. On our street, we don't have trees on that strip of grass, but we do have to keep it mowed
