Out-of-state visitor here...will be staying at their Super 8. Before I book , I want to make sure that area is OK.

I don't consider it a dangerous area, but it isn't one that I'd be enthusiastic about wandering around alone at night.

That was the "YORK MOTEL" a real seedy place, they cleaned it up and made it a motel 8 it's right on the highway so you would have to drive everywhere, nowhere to walk to,the only positive is that it's close to tunnel.

Stay in Hoboken or Jersey City on waterfront, or places on or close to route 3 like Secaucus,Lyndhurst/Rutherford instead, look on Tripadvisor for reviews.

North Bergen is a safe neighborhood. You can walk around whatever time of day or night.

Yes. I know a lot of people from that town, and I also know a lot of the restaurants and stores there as well. Even though most people, however do consider the town itself to be working class and the fact that there are a lot of low class industries there, it's still very friendly and safe. But I still don't understand why there is a lot of graffiti there anyway.
