New Brunswick is the North. The other Brunswicks (North/South/East) are all south of New Brunswick.

New Brunswick is along the Raritan River and is more of a city. It has some very shady sections along with some decent sections near Rutgers University. Downtown New Brunswick is very nice as it has numerous bars and restaurants as well as a train station to NYC.

North Brunswick is directly SOUTH of New Brunswick. It is more suburban in feel but suffers from some spill-over from New Brunswick. On the whole North Brunswick is pretty decent, but some sections are better than others.

East Brunswick is the nicest of the three and is located SOUTHEAST of New Brunswick. It is your prototypical suburbia with tons of shopping centers and traffic. The schools in EB are excellent and the houses are very nice. It is also the most expensive of the three with very high property taxes.

Hope this helps.
