I will only be working 4 on, and 4 off. I am thinking my saving grace is that I have 4 days to recuperate from driving so much to work. Thoughts?

Main reason moving out so far (from Minneapolis) is affordability of the newer houses, though the property tax is quite tragic.

If you need to travel during rush hour, it will be hell. If outside of rush hour, the commute will be long but doable (45-60 minutes).

The Lake Mohawk area of Sparta in Sussex County has always had a lot of airline pilots as residents and that's a pretty good hike.

Like another poster stated, your hours will determine the quality of your commute.

It will be a long commute, but doable, especially if not traveling during the morning or evening rush, if you do not like long commutes look for other towns closer to ewr.

I live just a further west and commute to EWR. It's not a bad ride as long as you're not traveling during rush hour.
