Anyone know a cute and clean bed and breakfast either near by Marlton, Princeton, or along the shore? It's a gift for an older person so a quiet area would be preferred. TIA

There's a beautiful b&b in Haddonfield.

Most B&B are rather quiet, no young children allowed. I used to stay at one on Long Beach Island, "Victoria House" it's still there. I've stayed at B&B's in Maine, NJ, PA, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard they all seemed rather cute and clean. The ones near the shore are usually old Victorian homes with large rooms, porches, etc. You can find some on Expedia or other hotel booking sites.

Haddonfield Inn. Haddonfield is lovely. It's sort of like It's a Wonderful Life between rush hours. Seriously. My mom loved the place. I love it.

Second, though it would have been my first, Beach Haven on Long Beach Island. There's a historical district with quite a few old Victorians and a few B and B's.

If LBI Beach Haven is doable I highly recommend Victoria Guest House. Beautiful old houses (2), great big wrap around porches, lovely owners and they even have a pool. Off season is great but they are only open through the end of September.

There are plenty in Cape May. Early fall (late September) would be a great time because it's still warm out, the ocean is still warm, and kids are back in school so the crowds will be significantly smaller. I've never stayed in a B&B anywhere, they're not really my thing, but from what I can tell Cape May has some beautiful ones. The old Victorians are very charming.
