Does anyone here live at the Mirage in Barnegat? I'm getting a home there and was just sent the HOA laws. My head is splitting open from reading it. There are way too many restrictions. I joined an HOA because I thought they did everything outside. Now I see all they do is mow, that I am responsible for everything out there, the trees, the retaining wall, plants, bushes, watering, etc. I can't even get rid of an ugly tree that is right in front of the home, hiding it. I want to know if it's as bad as all of this that I am reading? Thank you. P.S. I see nothing at all about snow removal

Yikes!
You should definitely RUN away from this real estate deal.
I say that because you are the second person today who posted comments regarding this HOA!

I don't live there, but I looked at the available information. It's a gated 55+ plus community. Your monthly or annual fee is for use and maintenance of the amenities and public spaces. Your privately owned single home is your responsibility. There is no true HOA. Townhouses and condo. apartments have those.
