I recently moved here from Sussex County. My first water bill came out to $96 and this month's bill was $89.

It's a 2 bedroom townhouse with two people living in the house.

Here's the breakdown:

Wastewater Charge : $59.35 (seems fixed monthly payment)

Water Service Charge : $13.60 (fixed monthly)

Water Usage Charge : June $18.60 (3,000 Gallons) , July $12.40 (2,000 Gallons)

Other charges : $4-5

I used to pay $90 per quarter and now I pay $90 every month. Is this normal in Somerset County??

Water and sewer bills are sent from municipal authorities, not from "the county".
You need to specify the municipality in Somerset County to which you are referring if you want any helpful commentary.

It is Bedminster. I was curious as to what others pay for their wastewater fee.

Bedminster's website appears to indicate that sewer bills are quarterly: Sewer Utility - Bedminster*

If this is the case, I'm not sure why I'm billed every month.. is water bill and sewer utility bills a separate thing? If so, does this mean I'll be getting another bill for sewer utility?

Call your utility supplier and ask. Wherever the water bill is sent from~they may be charging you for change of service or because the previous owner on that account was delinquent.

I live in the next town over. Your water bill sounds high. Kind of sounds like they are spreading out the sewer bill but give them a call to check.

I pay ~$40/month for water.
~$250 biannually for sewer.

Called the water company today and was told that the bills I've received are correct.

I just can't believe wastewater/sewer charge is $60/month for a tiny townhouse.

Great, now I'm stuck with $1000-1200/year water bill.

So you're not getting a quarterly or biannual sewer bill then right? That sounds about right. Welcome to the club.

You mean the sewer bill from the city of Bedminster? This, I'll have to wait and see. I just hope not.
