Hi
I am moving to NYC in April and will be looking for 1 bedroom apartment in NJ (Jersey City/New port, Near path station). I would appreciate if ppl can recommend areas that are nice to live in. I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment, with rent less or equal to $1000 to $2000. I don't need parking. Thanks!! |

For that money look at Hoboken. There are those of us who will tell you that JC has some safe places...and those of us (me, included) who will tell you to look elsewhere.

Try the following areas:
- Hoboken - Edgewater - Jersey City Hoboken is priced a bit high now but has everything that NYC has. Edgewater is close to Hoboken so you can be there within a short amount of time. Lots of nice places to live as well that have NYC Views. Jersey City is in a transition and is not as developed as much as the prior two. |

Edgewater is a bit "dead" but you have the access to hobken and of course Manhattan. |
