^ Nice pics! I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon roaming around a flower garden and herding chickens. Okay, I wasn't the one herding them and they're not mine, but just let me enjoy the poetic image I have of this afternoon. Some beautiful flowers. For a second I felt like I was at the botanical garden in Ringwood.

Beautiful New Jersey photos from both of you. Thank you so much for sharing.

My sunflowers here in Monmouth are giants this year, too. A foot of two higher than my gutter. The conditions must have been right for them this year.

Thank you for the pictures of the flowers. They're beautiful.

Is herding chickens like herding cats?

I've hear of some of the places you talked about, but never been there. I still haven't been on top of Apple Pie Hill or Forked River Mountain, but hope to get there one of these days. Did a lot of small game and deer hunting at Colliers Mills as a kid, and a lot more four wheeling and er..."camping"...there and at Greenwood as a teenager/in my early twenties.

We spend most of our time on the bay near the inlet and up to Tices Shoal on Island Beach. Some friends of ours have a place on the lagoon in Tuckerton we've been meaning to get down to.
Not sure, but I think Apple pie hill is now fenced. I once drove there from the south side. Miles and miles through the pines. Met a young guy who said, "Follow me. That's where I'm headed." Um, OK.

He didn't kill me.

Chickens are way easier than cats. They generally stick together and are very one-track-minded especially with treats like mealworms.

Thank you!

Not sure. Let me grab a can of tuna and I'll get back to you.
