If you were doing 94 and had no idea you were speeding then your fckn clueless and have no business driving.

Maybe the cop just wrote every possible ticket because he thought you were an ass.

In several of today's cars, it is very easy to do 90+ without realizing it. I do know first-hand that cops do not like drivers that exceed 90. At least the one that stopped me didn't. He literally yelled at me in front of my wife and kids and I finally interrupted him asking if the traffic stop would be over soon. He got pissed. We were in NJ, but my license is in PA and NJ-PA don't and have never communicated, so I knew that this ticket, like the others, would never make it back to Harrisburg. 4+ years later - it still has not. So no effect on my insurance or license.

I was in a new Cadillac XTS and 92 mph did not feel that fast at all. Don't forget the 6 speed trans, so you're only at ~1,800 rpm. So, I do believe the OP about not realizing his speed.

It would seem to me that the road sign ticket would be a lesser included offense of the speeding ticket and the speeding ticket is a lesser included offense of careless driving (or vice-versa on the latter).

You will definitely have a chance to talk to the prosecutor. Tell him about your good driving record. Throw a bone out - that you're willing to plead guilty to 79/65 and dismiss the other two. Then he'll counter. Check with NY on speeding brackets. NJ's start at 1-14 over the limit, I chose 14 over for the "bone".

Good luck to you - I wish you well in court.

p.s. If you have not yet done so, be sure to plead "not guilty" and mail that ticket and fine (if requested) into the court ASAP.

And to you idiots calling the OP and other speeders names - go screw off. You act like you're saints or something. You're likely those drivers that drive at or just under the limit in the left lane of a 6 lane Interstate causing a 10 mile traffic back-up. You should not be in the left lane.

I drive a brand new Grand Cherokee with an 8 speed transmission. Im very sure it would be smooth at 94. HOWEVER if your doing 94 and not aware that your over the speed limit then your clueless. Unaware and also have kids in the car the add idiot to clueless.
