re taxes: about 14.5 k a year and mine is one of the smaller houses in the area, some of my neighbors are over 20k a year

Even though we've moved, we still own our NJ house (hopefully not for too long). Our 1200 square foot cape cod house in Ewing township has a $3700 tax tag on it.

My oh my....what big taxes you have!
Here in Cary, NC a tax bill of $25,000/yr would mean you lived in a house valued at just under 2.3 million dollars. Would that be the same there in NJ?
My home was built in 2006, has 3150 sq. ft. on a quarter acre lot, tax value of $453,000. Our tax bill is just under $5000/yr. How does that compare to your area?
