Default Jersey Shore vacation

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to Monmouth County and trying to figure out where to take my 5 year old on a local vacation this summer. I'd like to find a place on the shore that is family oriented. I would like to avoid the teen/20's crowd that I remember back from my day. Any suggestions including specific hotels would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Island Beach Motor Lodge in south seaside park is very family oriented, its quieter down that end yet a short drive to all the attractions. They donot rent to teens either and the motel is the only one in that area directly on the beac, which is a private beach. My kids have always met other kids there and we always had a great time.

Default Check out...

Check out Ocean City NJ. It is VERY family oriented (it's a dry town, for one), has great beaches, and a really fun boardwalk.

How about Wildwood? We have gone there and found it was very family friendly. We rented a house for a week and it was great. The boardwalk is OK and we ended up spending a lot of money down there on games, shopping and food.
