He's another Jon Corzine. Rich, limousine liberal (progressive). NJ elected him, and will continue to go down their chosen path. Their state, their Governor. That doesn't mean the subjects of New Jersistan have to gladly put up with everything he proposes though.

Carry on.
I'll wait until he actually does something before getting my tar and pitch fork ready.
You said elsewhere that you supported Obama. Will you now admit Obama is a failed President who's failed policies gave us Trump?

Obama is a socialist and moved us towards socialism, though the GOP Congress stood in his way of doing more. I don't discriminate against people based on religion and I condemn anyone in the GOP or any political party that does. With that said, Obama is Christian.

Your new governor sounds like a Tom Wolf knockoff.
We only have Americans For Prosperity (as you do in PA). Tom Wolf is a moderate compared to Phil Murphy.

What is the saying timing is everything
That's true to an extent but let's also remember that it's fair to compare the economic performance of our state to other states.

The parts of NJ near Philadelphia and New York City are never going to be "affordable". Too many people want to live there now and always will.

We've had wealthy Governors before with "bad" policies, and NJ has survived them all. This time will be no different. At least Murphy will not get so petty as to block the GW Bridge to get back at a political opponent, and unlike Christy, won't say silly things like, "We wouldn't want to be like Colorado". No, we wouldn't want to be like them with a booming economy and very low unemployment rate.

A $15.00 minimum wage is not going to destroy the NJ economy, and the sky will not fall just because we now have a democratic governor.
Sussex County is near NYC and Philadelphia? Ocean County is near NYC and Philadelphia? Please.

A $15.00 will force thousands of small and medium-sized business to lay people off, cut hours, or close.

Can you show me where Christie shut down a bridge for political reasons. HINT: The bridge was never actually closed.

Yes, Chris Christie broke promises. But Phil Murphy's proposals are far more expensive and Christie said he wouldn't increase taxes, then raised taxes by $1.2 billion. Murphy said he'll raise taxes by $1.3 billion, so really I'm expecting a larger tax hike proposal.

Not everything Murphy campaigned for will be law. The OP is clearly reading every compaign promise and somehow assuming that it will become law...
I agree with you about not everything will be law, and I said so in my first post here.

As far as NJTransit, I say sell it or at the very least, privatize it. Ridership is down, there's no reason we should be subsidizing it.

He's Jon Corzine but even more liberal and morally bankrupt.

nj4life- some States are impacted by certain things that other States are not

Natural resources like coal and oil- cannot compare NJ to them

New York's economy heavily influenced by Wall Street

The DC States are influenced by the Federal government

It is not always possible to make a valid comparison on a State to State level

That proposed tax high is on the wealthiest residents and to legalize & tax marijuana. This hits a smaller pool of residents than Christie who raised the gas tax.

You forgot a few of the other events that the tin foil hat crowd were positive would occur during Obama's presidency:
  • Implementation of Sharia Law
  • Declaration of Martial Law, followed shortly thereafter by...
  • Seizure of everyone's guns
It's amazing how all of those right-wing Drama Queens were wrong about so many of the things that they predicted, no matter how tightly they clutched both their pearls and their weapons.

The only one of those that I thought would be affected under Obama IF he had maintained a majority of Dems in Congress, was a GRADUAL erosion of gun rights, not an outright confiscation......yet.

Sharia Law? Nope. Martial Law? Nope. More gun restrictions? Maybe. Hillary certainly wanted them.

Such drama. In reality, not much ever changes no matter who is governor.
