Just got a letter about it. If you make more than $75k single or $150k joint you won't see it or much of it. Above those levels it gets "phased out" to nothing. They should really raise the thresholds in places where cost of living is higher. I mean $75k might be a lot in Little Rock, but in Northern NJ, it's not considered wealthy.

Default Stimulus package

What a joke this is.

Taxes up .4%, gas at $3.00 gallon.
And, to add insult to injury, our tax return was exactly $1500 less this year than last, with the stimulus package, we broke even.

The first thing tax agency asks is, "Do you own your own business"?
Apparently, even the light bulbs are deductible.

They got it backwards. The more you've made, the more rebate you should get back. Sadly, my thinking probably puts me in the minority.

They did get it backwards. If you make over $75k and pay a LOT in taxes-you don't get a check- instead checks will be going to some people who pay NO taxes. It is bad enough the "so-called rich" are not getting tax checks but then many people who pay NO taxes will receive one? Very backwards.
