wow is the big city copper is afraid of newark? you get to pack a piece, how about the common folk whom the liberals won't let have weapons?
and see the data I posted, while a bit off on the numbers the results are close to what I stated

What do you mean by "see the light?" Would this "light" be "life sucks?"
you say pessimist. I say enlightened by experience, life might suck for someone who never gets it

There are some suburban havens near me like Clarks Summit, Dallas, and West Pittston that are all also losing population due to the allure of newer urban sprawl on their peripheries.
your first mistake is scranton has a wonderful quality of life, an anecdotal view from my son who was accepted at the university of scranton and decided upon visiting the school that the town was a dump and he would never attend a school in a run down old town like scranton, fortunately he's been accepted at schools in better locations

Does your pessimistic view on life never cease? What specifically did he not like about Scranton? Did the big, scary Victorian homes in the neighborhoods frighten and confuse someone who was accustomed to the suburbs? Did "The Office" Convention scare him? For as much as people in NJ tell me that I shouldn't be entitled to an opinion about your state because I don't live there, enough of you certainly have sour opinions about Scranton.

the school's campus wasn't too impressive, buildings are old and need repair, the surrounding area was run down and uninviting, overall the other schools that accepted him are as good or better and offer a better setting than scranton and if it soothes you any he wasn't impressed with Lehigh either

Default Back on topic

Maplewood, South Orange, Livingston, Union near Maplewood, Jersey City, some parts of West Orange, Montclair, Bloomfield are all possibilities. I've been heavily researching the whole area near Newark in our househunting, and all seem like reasonable places to live, especially if you don't have children.

we all know you are a young immature idealist who loves dumpy urban places. Those of us who have a bit more experience, have families to be concerned about know better than to even consider an urban jungle as a place to live and raise a family. Enjoy yourself, and one day when you grow up a bit, have a family, have more responsibility placed on you you'll see the light
I can base it on living there.
